Rick Dees Incredible Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pre-heat oven to 300 Dees-grees.

Ingredients:

• 2 softened sticks of butter
• 3/4 cup + 1 Tablespoon sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 2 Large eggs
• 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
• 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 1/2 cup rolled oats
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 2 2/3 cups Nestle’s semi- sweet chocolate chips
• 1 3/4 cups of chopped walnuts, or macadamia nuts, or pecans

Directions:

1. Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar at medium speed for 2 minutes.

2. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice, blending for about 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

3. With mixer on low speed, add flour, oats, baking soda,salt and cinnamon, blending for about 45 seconds.

4. Remove bowl from mixer and add chocolate chips and nuts, mixing by hand.

5. Portion dough with a scoop(about 3 Tablespoons) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart.

6. Bake for 20-23 minutes,or until edges of cookies are golden brown and center is still soft.

7. Remove from oven. Cool for one hour..
