Compact, ergonomic, with Spanish cedar leaf inlays, a redwood top, and a tone rich and warm like a pumpkin spice latte, the Autumn Variations Guitar by Sheeran by Lowden has now officially launched to tie-in with Ed Sheeran’s new album.
Lowden Guitars, a privately held norther Ireland guitar manufacturer, specializes in handmade, uniquely designed guitars. Louden partnered with Sheeran on the limited edition line, and has been collaborating with Sheeran, whose grandfather was from Northern Ireland, for some time, releasing a range of exclusive guitars to celebrate his key albums, tours and career milestones.
The pairing first came about in 2013, when Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody asked Lowden to design Sheeran a guitar as a gift. Sheeran became friendly with the team, and in 2019 they launched the Sheeran by Lowden brand.
The guitar line has become so popular that they decided to team up again ahead of the release of Autumn Variations to create a new acoustic guitar. Lowden said that the "special project" was months in the making, and that only a limited number have been built. They are available to order NOW through the end of November.
The guitar features a walnut back and sides paired with a premium California redwood top. The fingerboard has an inlay pattern featuring autumn leaves and there are acorn inlays on the bridge to pay homage to the themes of the new album. The team at Lowden said that the combination of woods produces a rich, warm tone with excellent sustain and projection and that the guitar is designed to be played for extended periods of time.

People Swear That Mexican Coke
Tastes Much Better — and They
Might Be Onto Something
Coca-Cola fans can be particular about what's inside their bottle. Even when the labels look the same, many Coke drinkers swear the quality of the beverage differs based on its country of origin. This is the case with Mexican Coke versus American Coke. The common consensus is that Mexico's version of the product is superior, and the reasons go beyond psychology. There are significant differences in Mexican Coke's formula and packaging that improve its taste.
According to Reader's Digest, there's one major ingredient distinguishing the two colas: the sweetener. While Mexican Coke is sweetened with cane sugar—a.k.a. regular table sugar—the soda sold in the States is made from high-fructose corn syrup.
As the name suggests, high-fructose corn syrup is derived from corn. High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is about 55% fructose, a type of sugar. It takes your body more steps to breakdown fructose compared to glucose. High amounts of this sugar can lead to serious health issues such as Alzheimers, liver disease, and Type 2 Diabetes. YIKES!
